Chapter 32

I need a new room. The small crack in our curtain has the sun angled perfectly to slam into my eyes in the morning. I made an exasperated sound. Might as well get up. I have some things I'd like to do today. The first thing on the agenda: camouflage. I want to blend into the city, and since so few people have seen my face up close, this may be my only opportunity.

"Cord," Istril whined from the bed. She was still half-asleep. "Cord, I'm hungry." I looked back at her, and to my surprise, her feet were closer to the edge than they had been last night. She's still growing. I decided to go ahead and feed her so she didn't get uncomfortably tall.

I leaned in and pressed my lips to hers. A low growl came from her chest as I did. Her eyes flashed open. I pulled back. Every succubus seems to react differently, so I wanted to see her response.

"Cord," she said quietly, putting her hand to her lips.

I sat back and saw her feet were much higher up on the bed. They were definitely a few inches closer to us. I reached my hand out and stroked her large head, pushing some of her hair behind her ear. Her black headband was missing. "Oh wow, you said that without the speaker," I just noticed.

"Short words," she said.

"I'm not complaining, so please don't think I am, but why aren't you naked? Whenever Meg sleeps, she always wakes up with only shreds of clothes."

She laughed. It was that deep rumble mixed with cute giggles you'd hear from a small woman. "No sleep sweat." She coughed a few times, as it appeared she overdid the talking.

I nodded my understanding. "I'm planning on doing some fun stuff today. Do you want to join me?" I asked.

She nodded and sat up in bed. I forgot how big she was. This is as small as she would get, and she was still huge.

"Well, let's get dressed and head on out," I said. "Ah, you don't have clothes, do you?" She nodded and pointed to one of the drawers.

"Jeane," she explained. Ah, so Jeane must have set her up with some clothes. That's awesome of her. Istril pulled out a top that was obviously way too small and began putting it on facing away from me.

"I thought Jeane made you clothes that fit," I said. She turned back around. The cream-colored top reminded me of something a female pirate would wear. It was a shoulder-less blouse revealing a lot of midriff but had long billowy arms. Her stomach was toned but not muscular.

She removed her shorts, and I turned around. She made that guttural cute laugh again and said, "Can look."

With a sigh, I turned back around. Something you get used to with succubi around is casual nudity. "So what's up with the clothes fitting you?" I watched as she was pulling up some underwear that started out way too small but grew as she pulled them up.
